I'm using OSX 10.3.9 on an iBook G4 with m-audio firewire 410 and Plogue Bidule with Acousmodules AU and VST plugins to produce 5.1 surround sound aiff or wav files either as multi-mono or single aiff/wavex files. I can play these files back using bidule plugins, but I want to produce dolby digital DTS encoded files to play through my home cinema system using the S/PDIF output on the firewire 410.
Is there software available for this? I have Quicktime pro 7 which can play the DTS files but not convert from wavex etc. |

What DAW are you using? Digital Performer, Logic Pro, Nuendo, and Bias Deck, can produce the file type used surround encoding.
For the actual encoding take a look at this http://www.discwelder.com/ it's the cheapest encoder I've found so far. -------------------- G-Dub

Thanks gdoubleyou. I'm just using Bidule and AU/VST plugins: it's great!
I've followed your link to discwelder: looks like I'll be forking out $99. |
