I'm trying to run Soundflower on my iBook G4 1.2 GHz with 1.25 GB RAM running osx 10.4.7. It installs OK and the soundflower.kext file appears in the extensions folder, but there's no sign of it in audio/midi setup. Having searched other forums I found some references to problems so I fixed permissions and checked everything as advised. Still nothing. When I load soundflowergarden it thinks soundflower is installed, but it still doesn't show up in audio/midi setup.
Advice, please.
I'm usually using an m-audio firewire 410 and behringer bcf2000 but the soundflower problem happens even with a bare machine.
I'm using OSX 10.3.9 on an iBook G4 with m-audio firewire 410 and Plogue Bidule with Acousmodules AU and VST plugins to produce 5.1 surround sound aiff or wav files either as multi-mono or single aiff/wavex files. I can play these files back using bidule plugins, but I want to produce dolby digital DTS encoded files to play through my home cinema system using the S/PDIF output on the firewire 410.
Is there software available for this?
I have Quicktime pro 7 which can play the DTS files but not convert from wavex etc.
