I know a producer who uses Fruity Loops and Cool Edit Pro. Being that those 2 pieces of software run on a PC. What are the closest pieces of software to those 2 pieces in mac

Is Fruity Loops a loop-stretching program? In that case, try Live 3, which also records live audio. Fantastic program. Alternatively, try Phatmatik Pro, which acts as a loop-handling plug-in to other sequencers, such as Logic. There is another similar program that I think Synthetic knows more about, but I forget its name. There's ReCycle, too, but I think that's still OS 9 only.
What's Cool Edit Pro? If it's an audio file editing app, Peak 4 or Sound Studio are good for the Mac. Again, there are other options that I personally have never tried.
