Hi I have just set up my keyboard/controller to work with Logic Pro.
Everything seems OK except when I choose certain sounds.

For example choosing
ES1-Factory Setting-008-Synth-007-SYN Pure.
Everything is fine and I can press as many keys as like I on my keyboard/controller without any problems.

But if I choose-
ES-2-Factory Setting-01-Pads-011-PD Male Choir HM.
And if I try to play more than 2 or 3 notes on my keyboard/controller the notes just cut off and if I play even more notes there is horrible distortion/warbling noise and sometimes all notes can cut off playing.

I realise my PowerBook is a under powered, could this problem be some kind of system overload or some other problem?
Thank You

Im using-
PowerBook G3 400Mhz (Pismo)
OSX10.2.5
384 MB RAM
Logic Pro
Novation K Station
Motu Fastlane

Try increasing the latency by increasing the Buffer Size in your audio setup. For instance, there could be a number like 256 or 512 in there, raising that to 1024 or 2048 will give you more simultaneous playback voices (at the cost of a higher latency time when hitting the keys).

You need more RAM, with that amount of RAM you will force OSX to use your hard drive for virtual memory.

Basically you have Logic and OSX trying to write to the hard drive at the same time, OSX will win, and delay processes in Logic.

For DAWs in OSX on a Powerbook I suggest 768Mb minimum.
