I've tried everything and I cannot get any sounds to come out of my mac by using Logic. Can anybody please help me with the basic setup and how to make music and especially getting some sound out my mac.

Not sure of your level of expertise, I am somewhat novice myself and am not familiar with Logic, but I was wondering more specifically what your problem is. Are you unable to get the iMac to recognize your synth? Can you play software synths with your Roland? Does your problem have to do with playing midi sequences or is it that your can't play back or record audio tracks? Is your iMac having problems recording or playing back anything or is your problem only with Logic?

sounds like you are using built in sound card and if so... you really need to make sure that Logic is recognizing 'built-in sound manager' in its preferences for sound output... as far as connecting your outboard synth... I am not sure how you plan on doing that without at least buying the imic setup or a USB audio interface. Also, if your Roland keyboard uses USB (which is new to me) that may be just for midi (midi means no audio and computer code only which is for editing and composition) and if this is true... you will need the imic or USB audio interface for it as well. Please try to be more descriptive as to your problems and setup to allow others to address your situation better ;-)
