One of the most exciting new features of PT7, is the new Regions Group Feature. You can group multiple regions from multiple tracks (audio and/or midi), as a Region Group. This group can then be copied or looped (ala Logic, but untill a limit you choose, not untill the nex part or the end of the song) using the trim tool. Any copy can ne affected if you edit the 'master' region group. This means that you can have "aliases" of any regions that get modified when you edit the master.

The REX function is also really well implemented : you can preview any REX loop from the Import file dialog, then when added to your song, it get automatically synced to the tempo, as a region group...

It will take to long to explain all the new features, but i can promise that most PT users will love this new version features....

FYI

Since Logic 7, Regions which are looping can be set to arbitrary lengths. If you choose, the behavior works as it has for years, where the looping part ends at the next region or end of track. Glad to see PT users will finally get to use this feature!

Can't wait to see PT 7, glad it supports Mbox 1.

I don' t think luck has much to do with it, I think all these features were intentionally designed by Digi. but I may be wrong. wink.gif
