Good Recording & Editing Software??

Hi there!!

I'm totally new in computer recording. So maybe I can find little help here. I'm looking to buy a recording device and I found that the 828mkII will be ship with a copy of AudioDesk. But is it good enough for recording or will I need an other software?

Any advice?
