I just got an Mbox today, hoping to use it to record something tomorrow. However, after installing the Pro Tools LE 6.0 software and plugging in the Mbox, I opened up Pro Tools and entered the serial number and the computer immediately froze up, including the cursor. Force quit didn't do anything. I tried unplugging the Mbox and restarting and then plugging the Mbox back in and opening pro tools again and while it was loading, it froze again. I am using a Powerbook 12" aluminum model with 640MB ram. I noticed that the upgrade to pro tools 6.1 is available online, but I don't have access to a high-speed internet connection right now...perhaps that will fix this problem. Nevermind...I found the solution on Digidesign's web site...just had to uninstall the software and delete the leftover files and reinstall. Bizarre, but it worked.
