According to the MOTU documentation, one could plug 3x8 channels of ADAT in and magically get 3x8channels of TDIF out. The only way I have been able to use this as a format converter is to bring 1x8 channels into one bank set up for ADAT and route them in Performer to 1x8 channels set up for TDIF.
