CME makes one, a slim little number with a phone chip quality instrument set. cheap too. might be enough. not semi-weighted, though. the 49 key emu controller feels great, and i like the new roland too, but no sounds. not much of a market for what you're looking for. if you can find an old roland ep6, it's got a piano sound or two, semi weighted keys, and midi out. speakers built in too. the studiologic 88 key piano controller has a good sound set, wouldn't set you back much either, though it's huge.

I've look at CME one's they are rugged enough, but your right not semi, gots to have that being my style calls for it even though I won't using it for that. I just don't like the feel of the fluffy one's plus don't want to break it. I've to much maintenance cost issues because of it. MD

QUOTE (DANO10 @ Fri 24 Oct 2008, 13:23) Check out the NOVATION XIO. It has or can be loaded with a GM set of sounds. It also has lots of knobs etc. Very slick little unit. Perfect for a compact setup with a laptop. I'd go for the x station, it's got a lot more controls than the xio, you can put the xio sounds on it and most of all the keyboard has a nice feel, is semi weighted and aftertouch is nice.
