 Cubase Sx3 Motu 896 Help!, troubleshooting |

I just set up Cubase SX3 on a dual 1 gig Mac using Tiger (10.4.2) with a MOTU 896... I've upgraded the drivers for the MOTU etc ... I get nothing nothing but digital distortion when trying to record... It pops, hisses, low rumbles, etc... I can understand the voice somewhat, but it's distorted... I also have a MOTU Traveler and tried that... I got the same result... Any thoughts?...
