I took the plunge and snagged a 1.67ghz powerbook g4, it is definately rock solid as others have stated, but if you use audio-editing tools? there's none out there for osx, which is like cool edit/adobe audition, except for Peak

okay, one feature i loved about cool edit, was that you can simply throw ANY file (non-audio) and it would turn it into stochastic noises, which was quite a funky effect in industrial/rhythmic noise music.
