I have recently purchsed some new Tapco S8 monitors....which are excellent! I am running them through my G5 Mac with a Soundcraft analogue mixer.
What settings should I be going fo r on each to get the best signals etc. I understand the mixer settings, but my monitors have input sensitivity, do I put it on full or lower and have other stuff higher. There is sometimes a quiet hiss on the monitors if they are turned up too loud, this should'nt happen in a small bedroom setu, surely?
Thanks for any advice!

You should adjust your gain chain so has to be in the Ups of the pots I'd say and the monitor sensitivity lowered to a correct level. By keeping signal high above the moise floor you optimise your chances to have less of it in the end. The hiss can have other causes like a faulty adapter for an halogen lamp or some ground loop, or the neon lamp in the bathroom near.
