Sorry... More Annoying Newbie Questions! Options

hi,

i have a couple of guitars (classical and a fender strat), a yamaha p200 digital piano, and G4 TiBook (technically it belongs to work - but it's mine! ) I aslo have a midiman 2x2 to hook up the piano.

i would like to know what i need to start recording audio to the powerbook.

i have the free version of ProTools, but I will consider the Logic Big Box if things go well -- it sounds like it's good value and a lot of people seem to like it.

the powerbook doesn't have an 'audio in' so I'm not sure what I actually need to record audio (guitar and mybe vocal). I don't want to waste money buying the wrong things!
