New to the scene and wanting to get started.... Curious to know which app the lot of you might recommend for music composition.
I am fancy to the trance and progressive house circut, and would like a point in the right direction so I can make the proper purchase.. reason, project 5, cubase.. which would it be. Help is greatly appreciated. Klingman |

Useful info, thanks koolrok. I'm in the same boat; interested in dabbling in music but don't really know where to start. I've got my hands on Reason but it looks like a need a keyboard, the problem is that the product you recommend is a little pricey for me at this stage, so I have some questions:
1. Will the lesser keyboards allow me to get started, what are the drawbacks of the more basic designs? 2. Do you need a MIDI connection for these M-Audio keyboards or will USB do the job? I've got a flat-panel iMac. Thanks for any advice you can provide. -------------------- spoodie
