I am about to purchase a G5 Dual 1.8 (my first Mac) and an 828mkII and up until recently I was going to use CubaseSX2. After reading some rather bad reports on Cubase for G5 and Panther I've decided to think about other software. I was thinking maybe DP4 as it is dedicated to the Mac and seems to be a great application. I considered Logic but I've heard it takes complicated ways around easy functions (plus the price is a bit too high). Has anyone had much experience running DP4 on a G5 with Panther and the 828mkII? Any comments are welcome.
Thanks.
Kai

Metro 6 will work in a G5 running Panther.

Be aware that the guys at mac kinda goofed on Panther's core midi, seems it will assign virtual instruments to channel 0, which, in effect, means that it don't exest. Fortunatly (until Mac gets that straightened up) Metro 6 has a work around.

Interesting note.. SF2. files can be used like a virtual instrument in Metro 6 sequencer.

Demos for Metro 6 are available here
