Anybody else use this app? I'm going to download the demo later and try it out before I buy, but it seems to be an inexpensive alternative to Reason, which I am familiar with. If anybody has used both and can note and strong differences, let me know.

Reason is much, much better. It's as simple as that.

There are many important performance differences. For instance, in Storm you are limited to 3 or 4 sound modules per song. Once you have chosen the modules you feel like using for a particular track, you're stuck with them - you can't add another drum machine or synth to that track later. It's insane, but that's the way they designed it.

In Reason, you can start with 3 Dr Rexs, a couple of SubTractors and a Malstrom, say, then later add whatever the heck you like as the song develops. Much more, ahem, reasonable.

Everything about Reason is superior to Storm. Storm is not a bad product at all and does have some nice touches - the scratch decks, tape capture for making new samples, good drum sounds - but alongside Reason 2.5 it hasn't got a prayer. Heavy CPU demand, as well.

You get what you pay for.
