Hi everyone.
I bought my self PB G4 17½ and I don´t know what softweare to buy. I would like to have Logic and PT but as I know Logic isn´t working with MBox wich I have to buy for working with PT. So what do you think it´s better Logic or Pro tools. Thanks |

Hey Lucky Luke.
You've got yourself one hell of a computer. I recently bought myself the 12" PB. As for your question, the answer depends on what you plan on doing more. If you are going to be recording, editing, and mixing PT is defiantly the way to go. But if you want midi Logic is amazing. As for the two programs not working together, that's not correct. I was trained on both programs and they work very well together. In fact if you can buy them both I highly recommend it. You can create a great beat you in Logic, add some samples, then import your tracks into PT and record some live instruments and then do the mixing. The way I see it PT is the best for recording, editing and mixing. But I do not like the midi software it provides. Logic on the other hand is an amazing midi software program, but is a very complex editor, mixer. So to have both you have the best of both worlds. Be warned though. As much as I love Logic, it can be a very complicated program. But you are off to a great start. I hope I was able to help you. |
