 OMS & MIDISPORT PROBLEMS, Having major problems with MIDI |

I am using OMS 2.3.8 with a Midisport 2x2 1.1.2 on a G4/400 running OS 9.0.4. I have an Ensoniq ESQ-1 connected to the Midisport.
OMS sees everything when I create a new studio setup, and the Midisport 'IN' indicator lights up if I press a key on the ESQ1, AND the 'OUT' indicator lights up if I click on the keyboard in OMS setup- but my system does not actually receive any MIDI data. When I enter 'Test Studio' mode- the system doesn't say 'MIDI received'. Any suggestions? thanks. j. |

i have a couple of midi apps that require me to setup the ports each time I run the app... sometimes port configurations get set to default... make sure to check in and out ports on the software you are trying to use and set them to correspond to the ports you are using. Also check to make sure you are set to recieve the right midi channels.
