i have been reading a book on how to use logic audio. there is a section in the book describing a specific way to set up midi devices in the environment. it says to create a multi instrument and then create a port object and cable them together... the only problem is, i cant find where you create a port object. i pulled down the "new" menu expecting to find "port object" but it is not there. how do you create a port object?
i am using logic audio platinum version 5.5 for osx if that helps. |

great... ive been having a little trouble getting my instruments to sound but i think this is going to help me out. i will try this next chance i get some free time. i dont know why i didnt realize this before, logic's documentation is just not too clear in explaining this concept. i guess more experienced people would have just understood this concept without it having to be said.
thanks a lot for your help, formatj, you really have been very helpful with me. i appreciate it. one other quick question, right now i dont have an audio interface (i had to take out my audiowerk8 because it was creating a conflict under osx) i have for the system to use the built in core audio in the hardware and drivers section. if i play any sounds through my MIDI system, i should still hear the sounds through the little speaker on the front of the computer, right? |
