Hi Folks, I love using Garageband on my MacBook Pro. I haven't hit a wall with it yet and don't expect to considering my fairly simple needs (recording demos for three and four piece bands). Right now we'd love to have a few simple, sparse blues shuffle beats to lock in with when we don't have a drummer for practice. The second choice on this page: http://www.dolphinstreet.com/backing_tracks/drum_loops/ is an example of what we're looking for but it's stuck at one tempo. Can someone suggest some places where I can download FREE blues shuffle beats that we can adjust for tempo? I've searched and mostly I find everything BUT this simple request. Thanks in advance. Hi again, I just checked out the files in that zip by dragging them into a Garageband window. They fall very nicely into separate tracks. What a hoot! Works well. I just delete the tracks I don't want. Thank you so much! Bill |

oh good.
it is cool, right? so much better than just playing them in quicktime. i use this trick all the time to learn pop songs from standard midi files, print simple parts, and generally create backing tracks for practice. there are some pretty nice free smf's out there. cheers. |
