hi all, it's been a long time since I've been on this board, I'm getting ready to do another portable recording project I'm looking for a semi-weighted keyboard preferably 49 keys to use as a MIDI and USB controller. I'd like to find one with onboard sounds on it, but can't seem to find any.? Anyone here know of any. Thanks ahead of time for your support. "Hook" It'd be great if there are any ?
I'm using a powerbook 17" with M-Audio ProTools, Proteus XR1 sound module, various other sound shaping programs on computers, older bubble iMAC 20" |

Check out the NOVATION XIO. It has or can be loaded with a GM set of sounds. It also has lots of knobs etc.
Very slick little unit. Perfect for a compact setup with a laptop. |

I'd go for the x station, it's got a lot more controls than the xio, you can put the xio sounds on it and most of all the keyboard has a nice feel, is semi weighted and aftertouch is nice. |
