let me put it simple. I am using Logic on osx. I have never used Logic for os9. I have no idea what VST is, and I dont care, since I won't be able to use it, unless its "carbonized", whatever this means.
So, do I HAVE to dish out another 300 dollars just to get new sounds? I have a friend who uses FruityLoops ( I know, on a PC ) and he gets whole libraries for free somehow... whats the alternative on macs? should I go back to os9 just to get free samples and sounds? or do I have to wait until a VST substitute comes out? Because a day (soon) will come when I get tired of my keyboards built-in sounds... And a 30-day trial ( for the exs24, etc. ) is still a 30-day trial. -------------------- "history repeats itself, so the best thing to do is rewrite the future"

storm and reason are music production programs, not midi or audio sounds. and for reference, MIDI only refers to the midi control language: there isnt really such a thing as a "midi sound": when you play sounds back using your general midi soundcard/device, you are hearing low quality digital audio samples triggered by midi control data.
![]() reason and storm are standalone applications, though reason can be rewired to other applications (for instance ableton's live, cubase vst, &c). what midi banks are you trying to load in logic? |
