I recently picked up a G4 w/ a Digi 001 on eBay. I haven't hooked up the Digi001 yet, but I noticed the version of PTLE the G4 is on is 6.9 It seems I read somewhere that 6.4 is the highest you can go with the 001? Since the PCI card was not installed in the G4, I'm thinking maybe the owner had moved on to a Digi002.
Also, someone told me OSX 10.3.9 is also the highest you can go with the 001...can anyone verify this? Thanks, Will |

I traded in my Digi001 for a Digi002 Rack too long ago to remember so I checked the Digidesign site to refresh my memory and found this in their archive section: "Pro Tools LE 6.4 is officially supported on Mac OS X 10.3.2 and 10.3.4 (Panther) with the following systems on Power Mac G5, Power Mac G4, iMac G4, PowerBook G4, and iBook models*: Digi 002 Digi 002 Rack Mbox Digi 001 (on Power Mac G4 only) Digi 001 and MIX systems will not work with Pro Tools 6.7 and higher" Ron |
