Be warned. If you have been using idrum on more than one computer before its recent purchase by iZotope don't download the latest update onto both machines as it is a single machine licence. I just lost the use of idrum on my imac after downloading and authorising onto my ibook.
I feel ripped off that something I've been using for a couple of years is now no longer available unless I continually change the authorisation via internet access. Cheers then iZotope...? angry.gif

It took a little while to get used to using iDrum but now I see many of its good points. Mainly, song mode. Once you've got it AU'd in as a song track, grab a kit with the sounds you like, use their first few patterns then add a few more with just breaks or patterns without kicks just hats and some percussion. Then go to song mode setup your patterns to match the measures in the song. And as the song is playing you can hear your drum patterns change at the right parts.
Need to change the song - add more measures to song mode bring in more patterns. Don't understand your cymbals problem since you can use any .aif or .wav sound for your cymbal sound - there's some great ones out there. This thing is great for Trance/Dance drum tracks that constantly are changing. biggrin.gif
