I dont know what's the problem is.
I got a new Mac book pro and I bought a normal Logitech USB Optical Mouse. Using the Mouse on a plain black mouse pad. Tracking speed set to maximum. the repsonse to fine movement is poor (e.g. it's slow in response in jobs as simple as working with the transport buttons in Ableton Live). got pissed off after 5 mins use. Anyone can suggest what's the problem is? Really dont know which part of the link has the problem. Tried the mouse on other surfaces: no help. Is it the Mac? the Mouse or the USB? I 've been using ball mouse with PS/2 for years in Windows. Although it is old-school but I find it works well for me... have tried to find a USB ball mouse in 4-5 shops , all says they dont hv such a thing. pls forgive my poor english..Hope someone can give me some light. thx!!!! |

First thing, with optical mouses, use a textured support (it can be the wood on my desk for example) or a piece of paper. And see if it works.
Second, is it working with a dedicated driver or not? If so, have you restarted after repairing permissions (Apple disk utility in ~/applications/utilities). It's strange as Logitech makes work usually without fuss… -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home
