Hey,
I just received a Mac G3 laptop as a gift and am planning on using it for recording. Yesterday I also purchased an Edirol UA-20 audio/midi interface. I tried installing the required software from this website. There is a UA-20 for Mac installation link about halfway down the page. I tried installing it by clicking the icon on my screen, which let me choose between 2 versions of the software; one for MacOs 9 and one for MacOs X. I clicked on MacOs X, as that is what I was using. Then there were directions (in Read_me) for me to install the program by clicking on the UA20USBdriver.pkg icon. This is where I encounter a problem, as a screen pops up saying "Open Failed. Couldn't open 'UA20USBdriver.pkg'" I am very new to Macs and have no idea where to go from here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. tross Ce message a été modifié par tross - jeu. 5 janv. 2006, 23:01. |

Hey,
Thanks so much for your response. I downloaded the Stuffit Expander and tried downloading the Edirol UA-20 interface software again, and this time I had different problems. Before I installed the Stuffit Expander, the computer downloaded 3 items from the Rolandus website (read_me, installation for MacOs 9 and installation for MacOs X). This time, however, with the Stuffit Expander being the default opening program, only 1 item was downloaded (read_me). So I was able to read about how to install the Edirol interface software, but was given no option of actually installing it. Frustrating. Thanks for your reply, though. Sincerely, tross |
