Hello I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good method to free up any hardrive space that may be bogged down by unused files. I have my first recording session tonight and I want to make sure I have optimized m hardrive space. I'm new to logic, mac, and ccomputers in general, and I'm not sure if throwing a folder in the trash completely frees any space on the drive. Thanks for your thoughts!

If you're willing to go through the work, your best bet is to reinstall OSX and make sure to only install the minimal software. Disable extra printer drivers, X11, extra programs, and anything else that can be turned off to free up space. That'll make the biggest difference.
That being said, your projects should never be on your boot volume, so be sure you have a second hard drive for them always. -------------------- Alexey Mohr
