Upgrading My Powerbook, ram memory Options

Hi guys ,

I bought my powerbook 15 days ago and i am really pleased by its performance.Currently i am using logic pro 7.0 with few plug-ins but i am going to install some really "heavy" ones and i was thinking of upgrading it from 512mb of ram to 1.5 by buying a 1 gig stick.Actually i didn't buy the ram from apple because many people told me that i could upgrade it by myself saving much money.Can you tell me what kind of ram memory do i have to buy(DDR SDRAM ?) and if there is something like a manual showing how to open the pb and put the stick inside(i think that i had found a pdf but i am not sure)

The manual that comes along with the computer clearly describes how to add additional RAM. (Page 57 onwards). They also have notified as to what type of RAM is to be bought, with model number etc. Of course this is for Powerbook G4 17". But the 15" thing should not be very different, as the computer design is more or less the same. If in doubt, you may get hold of a manual of G4 17" and have a good look at. Hope this information is useful.
