Hello, I was wondering what I should buy to score a film. I know that Logic just came out with a program for osx, which I want to but. Does anyone know the price for that? I wanted to know if Logic was efficient for scoring a film.
I also heard that I need to get a multi-track sound editor. does anyone know of a good one for osx? I value all of your opinions. I want something that is going to be optimal for scoring a film. I don't care as much about sounds as I care about versatiliy and something I can use to edit a professional piece of music. I have Intuem right now, a very easy to use, simple program, but I want to upgrade to a professional program soon. $750???!? wow...
I thought it would be around 300-400, but $750 is a hefty load for a program... I could probably buy an 8-track external cd burner for that price! ummm... is there anything like logic but minus all the little features that make it so expensive? what I mean is, I care more about if it does the job that about the little idiocincreses and nuggets that go into getting the sound JUST right. I just want a reliable program that I can sequence with and that edits sound into video any other suggestions? anything beyond $400 is just out of my price range. does anyone know of a program like this for osx? if not, then maybe I should use os9, which i am not thrilled to use. would the price be better than? I would recieve movie footage via a dvd-r, and I would go from there. would os9 be suitable for that??? i think Logic for os9 was more in my price range, but I would love a program for osx the most. thanks again - jeff -------------------- "history repeats itself, so the best thing to do is rewrite the future"
