Where Have My Drives Gone?, hard drives

There was a high pitched sound from the monitors mso everything was turned off. Upon start up I had noticed the midi+audio drivers had gone. This morning I downloaded driver, run the installer and restart. I have lost my audio, library +data drive. They are still shown in system profiler and have been verified+ repaired. But I have no access to them as I cant find them. Please advise.

Anyone got any ideas or know of any mac viruses at the mo? There are no viruses for OS X, but Norton is known to cause problems.
