I'd really appreciate it if anyone could help - I'm trying to make the new AudioMIDI Setup do the same job as MIDI Patchbay which I used to use with Panther.
I'm trying to get a MIDI foot controller to talk to Sooperlooper. It is coming in through a MOTU 828MKII. MIDI is getting to the MOTU but not to the Sooperlooper. How do I need to configure the routings? I seem to have tried every combination. Anything else to consider? Thanks in advance to any intelligent and generous souls! QUOTE (LeoAbrahams @ Jun 8 2005, 13:46) I'm trying to get a MIDI foot controller to talk to Sooperlooper. It is coming in through a MOTU 828MKII. MIDI is getting to the MOTU but not to the Sooperlooper. How do I need to configure the routings? The 828-II has MIDI? I didn't know that. My Mk I 828 doesn't. Did you possibly mean that you have a MIDI Express? Also, by "foot controller", do you mean a set of MIDI bass pedals, or a foot switch plugged into the pedal jack? If the latter, let me pass on this: With my MIDI Express, I have it set up so that a pulse on the foot pedal input sends a particular CC message to a Lexicon MPX 500 (for use with the rotary speaker simulation). I have found that no matter what I do with the MOTU setup program, I cannot make the MIDI Express send this CC message directly to the computer. It will send it out of a MIDI port, but it won't send it directly out the USB to the computer. So what I do when I want to use this is: I have the foot pedal jack setup configured to send the CC message out of port 8 (which is on the front panel). I connect a short MIDI cable between the port 8 output and the port 8 input, then I enable port 8 as a recordable input to my sequencer (Metro 6). It's goofy, but it works. -------------------- Dave Cornutt
