This may sound like a stupid question to some of you but i'll ask anyway. Lets say i have a midi keyboard hooked up to my computer running Kontakt(when it comes out). I'm also running, let's say, Logic. I have a couple of tracks of audio playing. Is it possible to record in a separate track the actually sound(not midi notes) from Kontakt? in wav format?? basically resampling in a way... thanks

If it "doesn't necessarily have to be done in Logic," Digital Performer 3 supports routing the audio output of at least some compatible software synths (e.g., NI's B4) into an audio track.
I would imagine that NI's Kontakt will be able to interact with DP in a similar fashion. In fact, in DP, you can have a MIDI track that's driving the beast, while laying down its audio in a stereo audio track. Or you could be playing it live via your MIDI inputs. |
