I'm sick of trying to make OMS work with my Midisport 2x2. Is it true that you can set up Logic to recognize and communicate with external devices without using OMS? If some kind and patient soul could walk me through that I would really appreciate it.

Hi joyfulsong,
Unfortunately, you won't be able to get the Midisport 2x2 to work without OMS under OS 9. Logic's own built in MIDI drivers support their own interfaces (Unitor8, AMT8 and MT4) and will also work in MTP mode with a serial interface. So if you want to get rid of OMS buy an MT4 (Emagic's cheapest MIDI interface). Matt |
