I am having a problem with printing to pdf from Panther in Logic 7. When I print a score to pdf, the file sizes are ridiculously large. 21MB for a 100 measure score with 12 staves. I am able to reduce the file size in Acrobat Pro 6 but it takes over 4 hours to process "consolidating duplicate fonts". My business is built on the ability to e-mail scores and parts to clients. Anyone have any insight into this problem?

Ok let me back up.
I didnt find in the manual anything regarding the making pdfs directly. Do you print the score to a postscript file first? Or is there an option in your print settings to print to pdf. Either way if that is the case, your issue is more in the your acrobat distiller settings. I would next recommend going to going to the preferences inside there and setting those to 150 from 300 on the first tab and 150 in three spost on the second tab. There should be 3-4 instances in prefs for it to change depending on the version you are using. Good Luck and Best Regards, Leah |
