I'm a collage composer and am getting an Ibook 600mhz, want to know if prot-tools le or protools free, or any version of pro tools for that matter will sync audio clips together, like Sonar, Dp, or acid.

Absolutely right, Synthetic. PT LE is simple plug, play and record for people who want to record everything as mainly audio or live performance the old-fashioned way. I've just started with Logic and it's a great sequencer, a really good program, but definitely too many Midi tweaking options. If you don't have a big pile of legacy Midi keyboard gear in your studio, you'll never use more than half of what Logic can do. My only omplaint with PT LE is more personal - I had an Mbox on loan for a while, so I was using the bundled 5.2 that came with it. Now the Mbox has gone back, it turns out you can't use any other interface with 5.2.
