oh my god, i've just left hammerfalls' website...
i just downloaded the first osx audio driver... hold it, i have to sit down for a minute, get my breath back.  check it out guys, it's a beta at the moment, but promises to work with non-hammerfall kit.  now, if only i could install logic5 on x/classic...... can someone get me a glass of water? i feel faint.

 This thread is for RME, not Tascam or whatever 3 electronic components in a box you like best. If the Tascam could follow the thread I created for them. I fall here we talk about different drivers in beta in the same thread it's going to be a nightmare to follow.
