my mac is a powerbook g4, 1.5 , 512ram, 80gb superdrive

I tried CS80 on my ex noisy G4 2x1ghz (1.5 gb ram) and I was able to run 2 CS80 demos after it overloaded and usually crashes. I have also PC AMD 3.2 Ghz (512 GB ram) to play with. It was able to run 9 CS80 (maeby more, i did not try) and many other plugins same time. So I think that they are made for PC's and optimised for that. So you have two unfitted programs on your mac. (dont know of korg) Have you tried crystal (http://www.greenoak.com/crystal/), it's free and sounds awesome. Also zebra witch is mac only, sounds also good (http://www.u-he.com/zebra/). There are many PC users who would like to change their Logig platinium 5 to cubase, if you have official version. So you can update that 5 to logic pro 7 with few hundred dollars. If you like to use cubase or nuendo, buy PC. Those are working on it very well.

I have had on my mac first Cubase, after got pissed off with that I bought DIGI 001, worked fine but too limited so I bought digital performer witch worked quite fine. There was only few strange bugs occasionally, but doesnt harm much and I like DP's way to work with audio files, but with midi files there were few annoying things, so I change to LOGIC and as far I see, I wont change back. And now when Logic Pro 7 offers plugins worth of new machine it even more unbeaten.

I have now new G5 2x 2.5 gHz (3.5 gb ram) and I can say it's beast. i was able to run 16 spacedesigner convolution reverb (realtime, no freeze tracks), many audio instruments and other plugins at 128 samles latency (didnt try 64) and recorded same time some vocals. It was used about 70% of its cpu's.
