Does anyone know of any reviews of Logic 7 on the web. I've read all the stuff on the apple website but im looking for something slightly less biased.

Don't buy the update. Apple has screwed Logic Users. Audio Units do not work in Logic Pro 7. Apple is charging the same price for a Logic Pro 6 user who bought the update 1 month ago as a Logic 5 Platinum user who hasn't bought an update in 2 years. You are looking at a $500 rip off that is a piece of crap and doesn't work.
The changes are mostly extra plugins, and the dialogue boxes now look like Soundtrack. No AU developer has yet released non-Beta AU updates that work within Logic 7. Those that have (like Waves) are forcing an upgrade. So if you are using v4.x AU Waves plugins you are now required to throw down another $500-$1000 for the updates to 5.x because of Apple's bullshit move. What kind of idiots are working for Apple? |
