Hi, I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to electronic/techy music stuff. I've basically got a MIDI synth/keyboard and need to hook it up to my G4 ibook. I've been looking at Reason and Soundtrack, and it seems that I really need some sort of MIDI input to really be able to create music (working on a short film soundtrack). Any suggestions?? Budget is an issue

Budget is an issue ll help will be greatly appreciated!! what controller are you using? My Oxygen 8 is USB powered. If you need a connector, midiman has one that should have USB to MIDI connector. If your Controller is a USB unilt, that's allyou need. justplug it in to your iBook, and open Audio MIDI to set up the keyboard. you'll find it in the Utilities folder.
