Motu 828 & 2408, Can I combine these two?

Newbie Groupe : Members Messages : 19 Inscrit : 05 mars 02 Lieu : Vienna Membre n^o 3,707	Hi there! Has anyone ever tried to use a Motu 828 and a 2408 at once? Is it possible? I want all 2x8 analog inputs and I thought that I've been reading this a while ago somewhere!?

Wouldn't it be more efficient to have 2X828 or the 2408 and a 24i, or 1296 or whatever? Do you have in your convulated and distorted brain thought about this peculiar setup as a mean to have 16 I/O in studio, and a mobile 828 setup with 8 I/O? The PCI-based motu cards and interfaces deal with it on the hardware level. What about the 828? I can imagine your face putting the same signal through both of them and getting a different latency on each one...
