Carte Tcpowercore Et G5, imcompatibilité ou bug Options

Bonjour

J'ai acquis un G5 2x2.7 recement, donc une machine en PCI-X (cette histoire de pci x et pci express est vraiement un truc de dingues, ils auraient pu appeler les derniers autrement non...?), or une fois la carte pci powercore inserée, elle n'est pas reconnue par le mac...et sur aucub des trois slots.....
sur le site tc, je trouve qu'ils ne sont pas si clair que ca sur la compatibilité machine des cartes...

avez vous la meme config de votre coté, ou des infos.....

According to the PCI-Sig, the group responsible for creating and maintaining the PCI specification, PCI-X is 100% compatible with existing PCI cards as long as the PCI card meets PCI 2.1 or later. PowerCore PCI meets this requirement. To learn more about PCI-X please click here.

In the Apple PowerMac G5 desktops that we have tested, we have been able to run multiple PowerCore Element / PCI / PCI mkII / Unplugged cards in the PCI and PCI-X slots.

oui, c'est bien ce que je pensais.....mais pour l'instant ca marche pas....!

de toutes facons je vais commander la mk2....histoire d'etre tranquille

At the present time we cannot recommend using the PowerCore Element / PowerCore PCI in the:

Single 1.8 GHz G5 with PCI-slots (September 2004 low-end model)
Dual 1.8 GHz G5 with PCI-slots (June 2004 low-end model)
Dual 2.0 GHz G5 with PCI-slots (April 2005 low-end model)

Et je trouve ça aussi, c'est curieux quand même que les G5 PCI soient moins compatibles que les PCI-X
