Hi,
Which audio interfaces, preferably firewire, are compatible with Logic Pro 7? I am torn between Motu's 828mk2 and M-Audio's Firewire 1814 or anything that costs less. I don't need too many ins/outs, just something reliable for some mic/instr inputs with LP7 & garageband.

Thanx!

forgot to mention that I don't know anything about the M-audio firewire 1814 or their 410. I really just want to know if they work fine with LP7 & Garageband. I am on a budget and the price look more appealing than the 828mk2.

I just got my Edirol FA101. I think that it sounds great and is super-easy to get rolling with.

I don't know about the actual box but:
1st trash the prefs or "com" files.
Make sure you install the driver that comes with the M box.
If you've updated your system go to the M Audio site and download the current driver.

I had the same initial problems with Logic 7.
best,

Hey there ,

I just got my dream set up so i have done a good lot of research on products,

Is your computer Desk top or Laptop how much portablity do you want , and how good do you want your converters , budget ask your self this ?

Logic Pro 7 is for Macs so I guess thats wat your running,

If you have a desktop and you want really good quality RME-Audio.com, Motu.com Rock.,
I got the HDSP9632 RME Card

BUt back to your question you want firewire yeah its more flexible and you can travel with it ,
The new MOTU Travelers worth a test run its expensive,
The motu 828mkII is really good to got TEC 2004 award , plus motu's works with macs and is solid we had one at my taf the old one i am sure the new one is good i checked out the mkII the preamps are pretty good ,
Def do the job
Depends on ya buget

The Digidesign 002 Rack works great with it.

Try it in a specialized Store, it's the best way to get an advice.

Robert.
