I think aif's and wav's take up more memory on a data CD - does this mean they are being compressed or losing something when made into audio CD's?
Strange things I've never known... thanks in advance J -------------------- Macbook Pro 2 ghz/15"/10.3.4/1 g RAM/x2 monitors/Logic Pro 7.2/Ableton Live 5.0/Reason 3/Fireface 800/PSP Vintage Warmer/Roland JD800/Roland SH101/Arturia Moog Modular/Epiphone Firebird 7/Guitar Rig/Dynaudio BM5a monitors.

nope. Audio CDs are puuure streaming digital audio, sample for sample.
But they will take up a tiny bit less space - no data file meta-data, no icons, no operating system .DSstore files, etc. etc. Correct me if I am wrong -------------------- -Arvid •• Squish the Squid Productions, Modest Machine

It depends on the bit rate actually.
CD's will always be 16 bit files Aiffs and Wavs can be anything from 8 bit upwards (the higher the bigger) logic normally records in 24 bit for example. So - yeah - sometimes files on CD will be smaller ... But only so's your dog could hear. -------------------- Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5 / 2 x 19" Formac Monitors / Hammerfall Digi 9652 / Mackie d8b / 2.5 gig RAM
