Hello,

I have been gathering info over the last several days to try and build a great home recording studio primarily for sequencing music and playback.

Here's what I have come up with so far:
>Computer: Mac G5 Dual 2G processor, $2000+
>Interface: Motu 828MkII, $750
>Software: Digital Performer v4, $550
>Sounds: Propellerhead Reason, $350

Now, without breaking the bank all at once , I was wondering if my iMac G3 processor would suffice in place of the Mac G5 above, without wanting to put a sledge to it in frustration when it is bogging down.

Is there anyone using an iMac G3 with Digital Performer?
