None, zero, nada ... No compatibility issues found, so far ... Apple has gone the extra miles and then some to insure backward compatibility with all current and just about every legacy FireWire / 1394a / 1394b / iLink device.
There are several FireWire technical forums including Apple's own, and I can assure you that any compatibility issues that you might discover would not fall on deaf ears ...
It has been just about one year since RME updated the Apple OSX drivers and firmware for the FireFace devices. It always a good sign that 1) a company does update their drivers, etc. as needed and 2) that the current drivers and firmware have held up for more than a year. There is an RME Forum:

( I have a 3 month old 20" 2009 iMac, two brand new Mac Minis, plus older iBook and MacBook w/FireWire ports.)
