Hi,
I just bought M-audio podcast factory using it on a mac G5/tiger with garageband and audacity.

The microphone output is excessively low unless the gain on the M-audio interface (fast-track, I believe) is maximal. But then the there is a strong background noise.

Even speaking at less than 7cm from the microphone the recording signal is minimal in both software. (However the sound is not too bad. )

Does anybody have the same experience with this product? I could find nothing on the web?

Thank you in advance

SB
