cant believe you wrote all that and i have to tell you it didnt work
i did download that environ from swiftkick sometime yesterday tho and it does recognize that there are different banks but it doesnt switch, they stay stuck at gm this little note was included with the environ tho: "This update now allows us to select programs within the triton then logic updates. One catch is, Logic does not change the bank, assume its a flaw in logic??" so i think that confirms it: logic is simply awful o well, my money went down the drain |

I think the "little note" refers to the fact that if you change a program in the triton logic will update so that logic has the same name as what the triton has. If however you change the bank in the triton, it won't update the names to the next bank in logic.
If logic can't change the banks of the triton it is because you either don't have the triton set up to receive bank/program change messages (are you sure you have this set correctly?, it is usually a feature in synths that you can turn on and off) or you still haven't set up logic or OMS correctly. I guarantee that if logic can't change the banks of the triton then no other program will. You state that the sounds stay stuck in GM. are the programs/patches changing? What happens if you manually change the triton to a non GM bank and then change the programs in Logic? Are you sure you have the Triton instrument you have created in your environment selected as your instrument in Logic's arrange Window? Once you get over the environment set-up hurdle in Logic it all becomes easier, don't give up! |

Are the names for the triton.lso from swiftkick.com the same as the patch/program names in your triton LE banks?
Also, I have a friend with a triton rack. I will ask him if he has bank changes working from logic. |

the names are different but i dont care about names, i just want it to work even tho i bet it wont
"You state that the sounds stay stuck in GM. are the programs/patches changing?" dont think so "What happens if you manually change the triton to a non GM bank and then change the programs in Logic?" i cant get into a non gm bank on the triton le, it siwtches back to gm because of the midi communication or whatever from logic "Are you sure you have the Triton instrument you have created in your environment selected as your instrument in Logic's arrange Window?" yeah, thats when i see different banks and program names, even tho all of them register with the triton as gm maybe its oms, ill put up some screens of that tomorrow |

With your OMS set-up
For starters delete the item Port 1 (the keyboard with a question mark) Also delete Quicktime music. You can also delete Studio pgm chg. Also for the MIDI device info for the Korg Triton LE uncheck the boxes Receives and Sends MIDI time code. You can if you want check boxes beneath for receives MIDI beat clock if the triton receives it. Did you also check to see if the triton is set up to receive bank/program change messages? Can you take a screen shot of your arrange window in Logic so I can see the selected track with the Triton chosen and all the parameter boxes on the left of the screen. We'll get there eventually! |

The picture of your OMS set-up shows The Korg Triton LE and below it are two keyboards with port 1 and port 2 next to them.
Delete the keyboard with port 1 next to it. You only need the Korg Keyboard above it which is also connected to port 1 of your MIDI interface. Don't delete the Korg Triton LE keyboard. |

yeah when i saw the setup i realized what you were talking about
ill have that screen of the arrange window up soon, but i dont see what that will do, because it is switching between the banks in the program and having different sound names, just not on the triton le |
