I'm thinking of purchasing a Firewire hub, due to the amount of different firewire peripherals that I have.. my question is, does anyone know if Firewire hubs cause any problems when used in the audio firewire connection?
My Firewire 410 according to M-Audio needs to be at the end of the Firewire buss, but unfortunately I only have one port on my Powerbook Ti 500 + I also have a 250Gb firewire800 drive with only 1 firewire 400 port, which more or less narrows down my possibilities. Also, if anyone can recommend or offer any advice on decent 6 port firewire hubs as well, as I can't find any reviews anywhere ?? Thanks |

why dont you plug the HD into the Firewire 410 and connects the 410 to your PB? Thats how I do it and it works great. I´ve use this set up with my 80GB LaCie External HD and a PB G4. No problem.

Thanks... I guess I'm looking for any advice on compatibility issues with Firewire hubs from anyone who is using a hub already?
