I'm a Sonar user who is about to drop some serious change on the G5. I know that Twelve Tone doesn't make Sonar for the Mac, so I've been doing research on two platforms that come close to what I need in my facility. DP 4 and Logic... My friend is running Logic 6 and I like it... But I'm also tripping out on the DP 4's interface. Here's my question.

Logic has soft synths...
Does DP4? I know they have the Mach Five sampler, but that's for loading and manipulating samples. I'm talking more like Logic's EV88 or something like it... Thanks for reading. smile.gif

MOTU have the mx4 which I believe is quite good from what I've heard. However, as DP4 supports both MAS and AU instruments you should have a wide choice of virtual instruments from many companies. You may even (if you really need it) want to investigate a VSTi-AU wrapper so you can use some Steinberg VSTi's. As DP4 now supports AU you may even be able to use some of the soft-synths from Logic in DP4.
Hope that helps.
